What is the punishment for a violation of Vehicle Code § 4463?
A violation of Vehicle Code § 4463(a) is a felony punishable by imprisonment for 16 months, or two or three years, or by imprisonment in a county jail for not more than one year
A violation of Vehicle Code § 4463(b) is a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment in a county jail for six months, a fine of not less than five hundred dollars ($500) and not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), or both that fine and imprisonment
